Window Tinting

Premium ceramic window tinting in Roseville, CA—installed by experts with over 35 years of experience.

Our Window Tint Options

Good
Dyed Film

Our entry-level dyed film uses traditional tint technology and relies mainly on darkness to reduce glare and heat. It delivers a clean, classic look with basic heat control and solid color stability over time. This is a great option for budget-conscious drivers who want added privacy, improved comfort, and  style without upgrading to advanced ceramic technology.

Better
Carbon–Ceramic Blend

A noticeable performance upgrade. This carbon-ceramic blend blocks about twice the heat of dyed film while remaining durable and color-stable over time. It offers improved comfort, reduced glare, and better heat rejection at a median price range.  Includes a Lifetime Transferable Warranty, making it a smart long-term choice and a value-add when selling your vehicle.

Best
Premium Ceramic

Our top-performing option. Premium ceramic film rejects intense infrared heat while staying crystal-clear. With ceramic technology, it  provides an IR rejection range of 89% with lighter shades, and up to 96% in darker options. Backed by a Lifetime Transferable Warranty, this option delivers the best comfort, cooling, and overall performance we have to offer.

Window Tinting Benefits

Choosing the Right Tint Shade

We offer a wide range of tint shades to match your comfort, visibility, and style preferences.

Availability varies by film type, but the examples below showcase the most commonly chosen percentages to help you get a feel for how different tint levels look.

5% – Limo Tint
Our darkest shade, offering maximum privacy and a sleek, bold look. Great for rear windows.

20% – Factory Match
Similar to the privacy glass you see on trucks and SUVs. Popular for creating an even look all around.

35% – Medium Tint
A balanced shade that still provides noticeable heat reduction and privacy while keeping visibility clear.

50% – Light Tint
Adds a softer look with mild heat rejection—good for customers who want a subtle upgrade.

70% – Nearly Clear Ceramic
Looks almost invisible but rejects an impressive amount of heat. Perfect for windshields or anyone who wants comfort without darkening.

Our friendly staff will walk you through your options and help you choose the ideal shade and film type at your appointment. You can also test the film types on our live heat display in the lobby, so you can feel the difference before making your selection.

California Tint Laws & Safety Guidelines

Tint laws in California can be confusing, but we keep it simple and transparent so you always know what to expect. Here’s how we help you choose the right shade while keeping safety in mind:

Front Door Windows
California law requires higher visibility on the front two doors. We will install any shade you prefer with a signed waiver, and we’ll always let you know about the possibility of a “fix-it” ticket. Many customers with medical conditions also qualify for exemptions with a doctor’s note.

Rear Windows
You can tint your rear passenger doors and back glass as dark as you’d like. These windows have no visible light transmission limit in California.

Windshield Tinting
For safety reasons, we allow windshield tint no darker than 35%. Lighter ceramic options (such as 50% or 70%) are popular for cutting heat and glare without affecting visibility.

At Tintpros, we’re here to help you balance comfort, style, and compliance, and we’ll always give honest recommendations based on your needs.

Window Tinting FAQs

How long does window tint last?

High-quality ceramic films can last 8-10 years or longer.
Our premium films are engineered to resist fading, peeling, bubbling, and discoloration. When installed professionally—like here at Tintpros—they’re designed to stay looking great for the lifetime of the vehicle.

Ceramic window film provides superior heat rejection, UV protection, clarity, and durability compared to dyed or metallic tint.

Key differences:

  • Ceramic blocks more infrared heat

  • No interference with electronics

  • Better long-term performance

  • Lifetime warranty

It’s the best option if you want maximum comfort and protection.

Yes — but with specific rules.
California allows:

  • Front side windows: Must allow 70% or more visible light

  • Back side windows: Any shade is allowed

  • Rear window: Any shade is allowed (if you have side mirrors)

  • Windshield: Only the top 4 inches (AS-1 line) may be tinted

California law requires 70% VLT on front windows, but many customers prefer darker shades. We’ll show you both compliant options and darker alternatives so you can make the choice that suits your driving needs.

Typical installation times are:

  • Two doors: 1.5–2 hours

  • Rear half + front doors: 3–4 hours

  • Windshield: 2–3 hours in warm months, or 3–4 hours in colder months

Cold-season windshield installs take longer because we avoid heat guns and allow extra drying time so you can leave with safe, clear visibility

It depends on the shade you choose.

For most customers:

  • Rear windows: 5% (limo) can be too dark for some drivers at night. If you want better visibility, 20% or lighter is usually the safest choice.

  • Front windows: If you choose to tint below California’s legal limit, 35% or lighter typically maintains clear nighttime visibility while still reducing glare and heat.

We’ll walk you through the differences so you can pick a shade that looks great and feels safe for your driving habits.

Yes!
All legally tinted windows come with a lifetime warranty against:

  • Bubbling

  • Peeling

  • Fading

  • Color change

We also include a 6-month shop warranty on front two doors or any non-legally tinted glass.
This covers installation-related issues such as edges lifting, peeling, or bubbling so you can drive with confidence no matter what shade you choose.

If you ever notice anything unusual, just bring your vehicle in — we’re always here to help.
